GPS Insight (2019) states that Driveri 360° AI Camera is a vehicle dash camera which brings solutions for an organisation to protect against false claims as well as a platform to improve driver management and training. Driveri 360° AI Camera video captures 1080p HD video and full 360° view angles of traffic incidents. It processes them in real-time with its advanced technology of machine learning software to instant capture and review events and in turn reduces the user’s need to view hours of footage. The telematics device improves safety, provides a wide range of data and analysis to help identify driver behaviour trends and stops reckless driving as it occurs. It is user-friendly, and no smartphone or WiFi is needed onboard a vehicle (to utilize the device). Built-in GPS, Global Navigation Satellite System (GLONASS) as well as 4G LTE connectivity gets everything done in a single device. While receiving information of unsafe driving such as speeding, harsh braking and rapid acceleration can be of great value, users can now see what’s happening from the driver’s perspective as well as in the cab of the vehicle. This helps organisations recognise and correct the highest levels of risk and liability within their fleet.

Another capability is to provide organisations with a much higher level of coaching information such as the reviews of driver behaviours collected by the camera which leads to positive feedback for a driver’s performance. The camera captures when a driver demonstrates positive behaviour such as adjusting following distance to give space when another vehicle cuts in front or when the driver moves over a lane when there is a disabled vehicle on the shoulder.

In addition, the company plans to develop a new fleet management application, namely “risk maps” that identify locations with an elevated accident risk in truck routes and help familiarise drivers such as issues with certain delivery locations (Huff, A. 2019).
